A Democracy Summit Unlike Any Other
Democracy summits are essential, and hearing from experts is critical, but in the electoral reform field, gatherings like this are incredibly male-dominated — especially when about 85% of election administrators are women.
Our team at RepresentWomen couldn't help but notice that highly talented and effective women experts are frequently not invited to the table at critical symposiums.
So we built our own table and invited those incredible women to speak for a three-day-long event, beginning on International Women's Day.
Kaycie's roles for this event included oversight, creation, and execution of all:

Outcomes
We put together an incredible line-up of women electeds, election officials, and activists. The summit featured three Secretaries of State, state and federal reps, and an average of 200 attendees per day to discuss electoral reform for a more representative democracy.
For a small non-profit team this was a great feat.
We forged relationships with women leaders in the field
Earned name recognition and praise from grasstops donors and changemakers
Promoted our upcoming research and advocacy projects
Broadened our growing audience
